PLEASE NOTE: Concessions rates may be available to those aged 19+ who do not already hold a full Level 3 qualification or have a full Level 3 qualification but are unemployed or are employed but earn below the national living wage.

If you fall outside these criteria, you can either pay the full fee or apply for an advanced learner loan. A 10% discount will be applied to the Standard fee for those students who take out an Advanced Learner Loan.

What is this course about?

Are you looking for a new vocation within the beauty industry? Or have you recently achieved your Level 2 beauty qualification? 

Join us on this full level 3 qualification that will enhance your employability and promotion prospects.

You will be able to provide your clients with a range of salon standard treatments and upskill your industry knowledge and perhaps it’s even your time to run your own business! 

This course is aimed at those who possess a passion for the beauty industry and a willingness to learn. If you want to upskill yourself, or just become a better Beauty Therapist, our industry-based tutors will support you all the way in achieving your goals. 

What will we cover?

Mandatory Units include:

• UV30491 Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
• UV30468 Client care and communication in beauty-related industries 
• UV20415 Working in beauty-related industries 
• UV30424 Provide body massage 
• UV30403 Provide facial electrotherapy treatments 
• UV30404 Provide body electrotherapy treatments 

Additional units comprise of:

• UV30425 Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
• UV30475 H/601/4454 Apply stone therapy massage 

Anatomy and Physiology of the human body is embedded within assignments in various selected units

You will be able to develop the skills necessary to work in the industry and and/or support others that do. 

What level is this course & what skills do I need?

This is a Level 3 course and therefore is equivalent to studying an ‘A’ Level. Please note that there will be written tasks such as essays and presentations that will require good use of English language skills. 

You will need to possess the following

1: Achieved a recognised Level 2 Beauty Therapy Services qualification

2: You will need to have appropriate levels of English skills in order to produce assignments necessary for this course. You must have achieved an English Language GCSE at Grade 4 - 9 / C - A* or you must have achieved a Functional Skills Level 2 qualification

You will also be asked to do an online English language test for the Course Approval Assessment to assess that you have the appropriate level of English in order to be accepted onto the course.

Additional information

You will be advised of further items recommended by your tutor, in order to practice at home. The approximate cost will be £60.00- £70.00

You will be required to wear your uniform at all times whilst in college. You will need to have your hair clipped back if short or tied back if long, and off the face. The wearing of Jewellery or Nail extensions is not permitted. Nails must be short and clean of nail polish. 100% attendance and punctuality is expected.

What can I do after I have finished this course?

Upon completion of the course, many learners apply to work in beauty salons.
