PLEASE NOTE: Concessions rates may be available to those aged 19+ who do not already hold a full Level 3 qualification or have a full Level 3 qualification but are unemployed or are employed but earn below the national living wage.

If you fall outside these criteria, you can either pay the full fee or apply for an advanced learner loan. A 10% discount will be applied to the Standard fee for those students who take out an Advanced Learner Loan.

What is this course about?

Do you want to work in the Complimentary Health Sector? Develop or add a new career in the growing Health and Beauty industry? Are you patient, open, and have a great eye for detail? 

This qualification is aimed at learners who are interested in Reflexology or who are already working in the Beauty industry and want to add another skill to their portfolio. If you are looking to embark on a career as a therapist specialising in holistic treatments, our Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology (VTCT) is designed to equip you with the knowledge, practical skills and industry-required qualification to be able to do this with confidence. 

What will we cover?

Learners will complete 4 Mandatory units:

Mandatory units - 63 credits

  • UV31268 Principles and practice of complementary therapies
  • UV31267 Business practice for complementary therapies
  • UV31299 Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies
  • UV31302 Provide reflexology for complementary therapies
  • UV31303 Healthy eating and wellbeing for the complementary therapy client (optional)

You will learn the following on the course: 

The history of reflexology; Benefits and effects of reflexology; Anatomy and Physiology with Pathologies; Contra-indications; Preparation of the treatment room and client; Providing a reflexology treatment; Aftercare.

Where possible we will work with local employers who will contribute to the knowledge and delivery of training. This could include:

  • structured work-experience or work-placements within their business 
  • your attendance at classes or lectures given by industry experts

What level is this course & what skills do I need?

This is a Level 3 course and therefore is equivalent to studying an ‘A’ Level. Please note that there will be written tasks such as essays and presentations that will require good use of English language skills. 

You will need to possess the following

You will need to have appropriate levels of English skills in order to produce assignments necessary for this course. You must have achieved an English Language GCSE at Grade 4 - 9 / C - A* or you must have achieved a Functional Skills Level 2 qualification.
